Nepalese Student Association (NeSA), New Mexico State University (NMSU) is pleased to invite students, scholars and researchers to submit presentation and poster abstract for its Eleventh International Conference entitled “Science for all: Role towards Development of Modern World.”.

Conference Aims

Advancement in science and its applications have been influencing human life since the beginning of time. Science has touched human life in one way or other over the course of human history and changed their belief and life. Exploring the possibilities of sciences has made transition from primitive to modern age possible and introduced dynamics in the world. Through research, innovation, and practice, science has improved human welfare, provided better health, enhanced the living standards and protected our environment overtime. The continual progress in the field of sciences whether it be physical, social, health, political or economic field has transformed the world and the impact of science on individual’s life is ever growing.

University-based science education and research has led to many technological, social and economic advances and transformed the medieval world to the modern world impacting everyone’s life. With this, NeSA brings its eleventh International Conference with the theme “Science for all: Role towards Development of Modern World ” and focuses on the relation of science in our life and its impact in world to bring it to current state. It will try to address changing practices and patterns of the world through the continuous innovation in science. It seeks some views and ideas about how a researcher can contribute to the advancement of society and bring technologies to the general people. Along with this, the conference aims to provide a platform for scholars to present their academic research, views, and ideas. Keeping this in mind, the aims of this conference are:

  • To bring diversity through scholars from different departments of NMSU as well as different universities and countries.
  • To form a platform of positive changes by sharing knowledge.
  • To network with scholars across the country
  • To involve the local community and inform them about ongoing researches in which graduate and undergraduate students are involved.

Thus, this International Conference entitled “Science for all: Role towards Development of Modern World” focuses on topics from all the area of science including but not limited to engineering, technology, governance, culture, education and social sciences and its impact on common people’s life. We are thrilled to keep NMSU community informed of diverse research in which students at NMSU and different universities are involved. Interested faculties, graduate, as well as undergraduate students from different disciplines, are invited and encouraged to present their ongoing research studies and related literature. One of the key ideas here is to bring diversity in the conference and present our research to the local community, faculty, and students.

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: March 15th, 2019
  • Notification to author(s)/presenter(s): March 18th, 2019
  • Conference Date: March 23rd, 2019 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
  • Proceedings Submission Deadline: TBA
  • Proceedings Publication Date: TBA

Conference Format

  • Oral presentations- 20 minutes for presentation, which includes 5 minutes for questions and answers.
  • Poster presentations- 1 hour from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm explaining about their research to the audience.

Session I(Science and Interdisciplinary Series): 9:00-12:00 – Oral Presentations 

Session II: 12:00-1:00 – Lunch with Poster Presentations
Session III(Nepal/Global development through Innovation in Science): 1:00-4:00 – Students/Presenters/Guest Speakers
Session IV: 4.00-5.00 Keynote Speaker session

Note: The schedule and timeline mentioned above is subject to change according to the number of presenters registered for the conference.

Submission Guidelines

Proposal Contents: Please submit your abstract with maximum of 500 words (including title, authors, affiliations, references, presentation/poster etc.).

Abstract Guidelines:
Font: Times New Roman
Title: Bold, size: 14
Affiliations: Italic,size 10
Abstract Text (Body): size 12
Keywords: 3 – 5 words (to appear after abstract text), italic, size 12
Note: Please italicize and underline where appropriate (e.g. italicize species’ name)

Review Process: The submitted abstract will be reviewed by three-member review panel. Based on their decision, presenters will be notified. Review panel will have the right to accept or reject the abstracts.

Registration Fee: None

Equipment: For PowerPoint presentation, computer and overhead projector will be provided. For poster presentation, a stand will be provided. If you need any other equipments or arrangement, please request at the time of proposal submission.

Lunch and Beverages

Refreshments will be provided by NeSA-NMSU.
