About NeSA 
The Nepalese Student Association (NeSA) is a recognized student organization at New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA, which was established in 2006. The NeSA organizes various programs and celebrates Nepalese religious, cultural, and traditional festivals. There are more than 40 members including active (full-time students) and associate members (faculty, staff, dependents, and Nepalese families living in Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX). Its members actively volunteer in different social, cultural, and institutional activities at NMSU and in local communities. The core purposes of the NeSA are listed in six Sections in NeSA bylaw as follows :
Section 1:
To promote academic activities within and outside NMSU.
Section 2:
To participate in various activities sponsored or organized by NMSU.
Section 3:
To assist Nepalese students to adapt with the NMSU campus environment.
Section 4:
To introduce and promote Nepalese culture to the international communities.
Section 5:
To promote mutual collaboration with other student associations within NMSU and communities in the United States and around the world.
Section 6:
To form action committees to meet the goals mentioned in Article II Section (1, 2, 3, 4, & 5).
